Customer Supplied Parts Policy

When Mtec Project carry out work on your Motorhome repair, suppling all parts, you’ll have peace of mind in knowing that you have safe, dependable transportation and the entire repair, including all the parts and labour, will be backed up with our full 1 year warranty.

If a part were to fail while it’s under warranty, we are responsible for removing it, paying a tech to determine why it failed so it doesn’t happen again, buying a replacement part and having it delivered to us, then installing it.

When you think about it, this is the way it should be, and it’s why we have so many loyal customers that send their friends to us. It’s our job to solve problems, and then stand behind our solutions.

On the other hand, if we install a part that wasn’t one of ours, then WE WOULDN'T BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IT, OR ANYTHING THAT MAY OCCUR IF IT WERE TO FAIL.

Any work performed with customer supplied parts carries no warranty, liability or guarantee on any parts, labour or services.

1 year warranty only applies to all repairs where Mtec Project supplied all of the parts and services.

Warranty does not cover collateral damages from parts failure or misused, modified in any way or failure to bring the vehicle into the workshop in a prudent manner.

Installation of customer supplied parts.

LIABILITY:

If Mtec Project installs a customer supplied part, they would not be responsible for it, or anything that may occur if it were to fail.

If the part does fail, they will need to pay for the part/job a second time, because they did not have a warranty through the shop. It doesn’t matter if the consumer purchased the part from a manufacture, Motorhome outlet dealer, online, or a parts warehouse etc.

WARRANTY:

If Mtec Project installs a part that they did not supply and that part fails, the workshop will not carry out the job a second time for free and the parts warehouse will not pay for the labour or product/parts for the shop to redo the job. If Mtec Project sold the part/product to the customer, then the said defective part would be replaced.

REPUTATION:

In a perfect world, all our parts would never ever fail no matter where they came from. Unfortunately, this is never the case. If a part/product is fitted and that part/product fails, the customer will have a poor experience with all parties involved. That customer will then share their experiences with friends, family, social media and online review sites. Our Business works very hard to build our reputations by providing good customer service experience and gives our customers reason to tell others on their Recreational Vacation.

EFFICIENCY:

If Mtec Project has to take apart the parts of a Motorhome and the part is the incorrect part, then the efficiency of that job is lost until the correct part is delivered. If the customer has to have their vehicle back that day but the parts supplier that the customer bought the part from is delayed, then the customer is going to pay the labour of the technician for taking it apart and putting it back together even though no new part was installed and pay a second time to have the correct part installed.

PROFIT:

This is always a sensitive subject, but it needs to be explained. In order for a business to remain in business and provide the latest tools and equipment, warranties for workshop supplied parts as well as training for the modern complex Motorhomes and provide competitive compensation for talented technicians they need to make a profit. For most Motorhome repair shops 50% of their revenue comes from the gross profit generated by the sale of parts. Labour alone is not enough to cover our workshop costs such as training, electricity, insurance, tool calibration and repairs ect....
